In November 2003, the WIP initiative was created by a group of women serving on the Ohio University Foundation Board. WIP promotes financial literacy, philanthropic education, training about the grant process, community service, and engaging women with Ohio University.

WIP was founded in the belief that women have made and will continue to make a significant impact on educational excellence at Ohio University. We welcome participation of all giving capabilities, with a special focus on first time donors, major gift donors, and new alumnae.

WIP’s general meetings (which occur three times a year) are open to all women interested in learning about our work and to those who have donated their time, talent or treasure to WIP’s projects.
