The Senior Class Scholarship Fund
Selection of applicants will be made by the Senior Class Scholarship Committee based on financial need (federal guidelines are not to apply so that students from middle income families are also eligible) and academic merit. Leadership qualities and character will also be considered. The number and amount of award(s) shall be determined by the annual amount available for expenditure.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the Senior Class of 1983 Scholarship, applicants must:
• Be a full time student on the Athens campus
• Have 148 credit hours at the end of Spring Quarter 2008
– must be confirmed by a current DARS report
• Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater on a 4.0 scale
• Have financial need
• Have leadership ability and character as demonstrated through positive campus activities
NOTIFICATION OF AWARD
Notification of award(s) will be made by the Office of Student Financial Aid and are based on the recommendations of the Senior Class of 1983 Scholarship Committee. Payment of the award(s) will be made in three (3) equal installments over the 2007-2008 school year.
