Which of your family members are Bobcats?
My mother, Jeannette Fitzwater; her brother, Bob Rudy; and her sister, Pam Rudy all attended [Ohio University]. My uncle then met his wife, Amy Rudy at Ohio University. Their daughter, Alison Sweitzer, and her husband, Jason Sweitzer, also attended. My brother, Adam Fitzwater, is currently a senior.
What made you decide to attend OHIO?
While I have always known about Ohio University, I originally had concerns about attending. I wanted to be original and go to a different school. When I visited the campus though, I fell in love. Ohio University truly has the most beautiful campus I have ever seen. Also, the accounting program is one of the best I have seen. All of the students were extremely friendly and loved not only Ohio University but also Athens. It felt like home. I had no choice but to join the Bobcat clan.
What activities are you involved in?
I am a member of Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity on campus. I recently joined the Select Leadership Development Program, which is part of the College of Business. I am a member of the Accounting Club and the Jitterbug Club, Ohio University's swing dance club.
What is something you are excited to do during your time at OHIO?
I am really excited to "borrow" an Ohio University brick my senior year. It is an important tradition that I cannot wait to participate in. I want to bring Athens home with me!
What has been your favorite experience at Ohio University so far?
Homecoming was favorite Ohio University experience so far. I loved watching the parade and screaming at the football game. A lot of my Bobcat family members came down so it was fun to connect with them, as well as their friends from college who were in town. It was truly a weekend of fun with friends and family.
