Thomas Ewing and John Hunter were awarded the first B.A. degrees in 1815 and are the first graduates of Ohio University.
Alumni chapters, regionally based groups of alumni, have been in existence since 1906 with the first established for Ohio University in Pittsburgh; the second formed in Columbus in 1909. An Alumni Society is a group of Ohio University graduates and friends who share common interests, experiences, and connections.
Throughout that time we have had dedicated alumni passionate about their alma mater bringing their fellow Bobcats together. Due to that dedication the John Hunter Society was established to honor those alumni volunteers who have served as former chapter and society presidents.
All information has been compiled from Alumni Association records, some dating back to the 1940’s. If you are a past president and your name is not listed, please complete the form below to be properly honored among the rest of the dedicated volunteers keeping alumni connected.
