Position duties include assisting the Senior Director of Alumni Relations, and/or members of the Outreach Staff in any way necessary. Responsibilities consist of but are not limited to:
- Preparing for board and alumni network meetings.
- Writing, editing, and sending the quarterly Advocacy Newsletter, Legacy Newsletter, and Tours Newsletter.
- Assisting during the setup and operation of various Homecoming Events including the Alumni Awards Celebration.
- Doing research on best practices.
- Assisting in planning major events, including publicity and marketing.
- Setting up travel arrangements for meetings.
- Assisting with meeting and event coordination for regional campaign committees.
- Organizing and data basing alumni information.
- Assisting with event promotion, preparation, set up, coordination, and tear down.
Qualifications
Candidate should be a proactive worker that has the ability to multitask. Both verbal and written communication skills are an important aspect of this position. Computer skills are also a plus. Some evenings and weekends are required. Previous experience in event planning, promotion, and public relations is preferred.
