Facebook is a great place to build, connect, and expand your personal
network. Millions of people use Facebook everyday, and a few thousand
of these are Bobcats! People use Facebook to keep up with friends,
share links, photos, and video, and let friends know what their doing
right now with status updates.

Application
The Ohio University Alumni Connections Facebook Application
allows you to connect your online directory information to your
Facebook account. With this application, you can keep your directory
profile up-to-date by using your Facebook information. (To get started on the online directory, click here.)
Ohio Network
On Facebook, users are a part of networks. If you would like to join
the Ohio University network, called Ohio by Facebook, but do not have
an "OU" email address, please complete the following:

Register for the Ohio University Alumni Association's online directory.
Please note: this service is outside of the Ohioalumni.org
domain, but administered by a trusted partner of the Alumni Association.

After you register, click on "Permanent Email" which appears in the left menu.

Choose your forwarding email address and enable your forwarding status.

Login to Facebook and go to your Settings -- located in the top
right portion of the screen. In your My Account, choose Networks. Enter
Ohio into the Join a Network field; also enter your new permanent email
address which ends with @alumni.ohio.edu.

Check your forwarding email address (Gmail, Yahoo!, Hotmail, etc.) and click on the confirmation link that Facebook sent.
This email will have been sent to your permanent address, but forwarded to your regular address.
