Sign up for your visits will be on a first come first serve basis. Please sign-up ASAP since these companies/schools/opportunities are limited in the number of students they can host. You will be expected to attend each of the sessions for which you are registered. Visits are mandatory AND ATTENDENCE WILL BE TAKEN! Please be prompt!

We will make available each student's schedule one week before the event with which visits you will be attending. The document will include the time, location, and the alumni escorts (if applicable) who will be meeting you. The dress for each visit is business casual or professional. Please, no jeans or t-shirts.

A recommended hotel listing is available at the Charlotte Networking Week home page. Please do not stray from the recommended hotel listing. Please note the Ohio University Alumni Association Charlotte Chapter is NOT responsible for student travel arrangements or hotel accommodations (these must be made by the students).

Please remember that this is a networking event and not a job fair. The purpose of Charlotte Networking Week is to assist Ohio University students in networking with Ohio University Alumni in Charlotte to help students with their career and job search. This event also allows students to visit various companies in Charlotte to get a better understanding of the Charlotte job market and industries available. Please bring your resumes.

Payment is ONLY accepted online along with your registration. The $40 Non-refundable Fee is required to attend and participate in ALL events.

  Education majors are invited to rank their preferences in the panels 2 -7 in order to network with Charlotte area alumni.

• Communications/Media/PR/Journalism
  This panel is represented with OU alumni that graduated with a communication degree and now work in a wide range positions that include: online journalism, public relations, marketing communications, radio journalism, and broadcast production.

• Finance and Accounting
  OU Alumni on this panel provide a wide range of experience and positions within the finance industry. Financial Planning, wealth management, financial sales, etc will be represented

• Information Technology and Project Management
  OU Alumni on this panel provide a wide range of experience and positions within information technology. Companies represented include Bank of America, Lowes.

• Industry Sales/Marketing A
  This panel consists of a wide range of individuals with experience in sales and marketing positions since graduating from Ohio University. The alum on this panel will be different than “Panel B”

• International Paper
  International Paper’s Retail Display & Packaging One Source Display and Packaging program has been designed to help businesses with Global Retail Requirements throughout the US and Asia. From initial concepts, structural and graphic design, to display manufacturing, assembly and distribution. The Retail Display & Packaging group works with Retailers and Consumer Packaging Goods (CPG) companies to satisfy their most complex packaging requirements and delivers a broad mix of display and consumer packaging services to retail. Matt Bernard, IP Retail Display & Packaging Sales Manager and 1992 OU graduate, will host this session.

• Taylor
  Journalism and College of Communication Students only
  Taylor, an integrated marketing communications agency, specializes in strategic, consumer-focused sports, lifestyle and entertainment programs on behalf of 15 category-leading client partners. In addition to offices in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and London, Taylor’s Charlotte office, open in 2004, includes approximately 30 marketing communications professionals working on accounts such as Coca-Cola Zero, Amazon.com,Diageo (Captain Morgan and Crown Royal), Allstate, NASCAR, BRP (Evinrude) and Capital One.

• Charlotte Regional Visitor Authority
  Participate in an information session about the Charlotte area and marketing opportunities from OU Graduate Brandy Larrick.

• Bank of America Merrill Lynch
  You will visit with Ohio University alum, Kevin Croke, Evan Krysa and John Fulvimar who currently work at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and you will have the opportunity to tour the Bank of America Trade Floor.

• Duke Energy
  Accounting and Finance Majors only

  During your visit to Wells Fargo in Charlotte, you will meet with Chris Gushue, Technology Executive of Enterprise Production and Technology Services (EPTS), and OHIO alum. Chris will discuss EPTS’s goal to provide integrated production management services that reduce operational risk, drive efficiency and deliver high availability for our business partners and customers.   Take a tour of the Bank of America Stadium, the home of Charlotte’s NFL Football Team the Carolina Panthers.

• Tour Time Warner Cable Arena
  Take a tour of Time Warner Cable Arena with OU Alumnus, Patrick Stack. This arena is the home of Charlotte’s AHL Hockey Team, the Charlotte Checkers and NBA Team, the Charlotte Bobcats.
