Board of Directors
The purpose of the Ohio University Alumni
Association Board of Directors is to promote the advancement and
support of Ohio University and to establish a mutually beneficial
relationship between Ohio University and its more than 188,000 alumni.
The work of the association’s Board of Directors is carried out through
standing committees of the board. These committees cover such areas of
operation as alumni outreach and engagement, marketing and
communication, advocacy and community development, awards, and
nominations.
The Board of Directors holds three meetings
annually in Athens and throughout the U.S. At its meetings, in addition
to transacting association business, the board discusses the strategic
direction of the association and how to best involve alumni in the
advancement of the university. In addition, the board frequently
interfaces with students, campus administrators, community leaders,
state and federal legislators, and faculty.
